#AFFINITY PHOTO UPDATE UPDATE#
With its new version 1.9 update, Affinity Photo is an even stronger photo editing application. Serif has unveiled Affinity Photo 1.10, a major update to its popular image editor, which delivers extensive performance improvements that make it easier to. Awesome photo editing software, but not that Photoshop alternative too many people say. Affinity makes a good supplement to C1 for those instances in which you still may need to push some pixels around. Affinity Photo has long been a strong competitor to Adobe Photoshop. It's raw editing tools are much more extensive and sophisticated than what Affinity provides. As such it's raw workflow is 100% non-destructive and non-linearly re-editable.

This and the dual app design model effectively establishes a forced destructive raw workflow - nuts!Ĭ1 on the other hand is a parametric editor and has no pixel pushing abilities. Shockingly as such Affinity discards all of your raw processing work when you transfer the image to the RGB editor. Clearly the design model is to do a basic raw conversion and then do the heavy lifting with the output RGB image in the pixel editor. Serif has announced the 1.10 update to its creative suite of applications, including Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. The update promises' superpowered performance' thanks to a major re-engineering of the software's underlying architecture. It won't even make an attempt at highlight recovery in the technical sense. It's raw processing component is limited (no HSL editing or color editor) and mediocre.

Affinity Photo is fundamentally a pixel editor. A quick video on the new1.10.1 update of Affinity Photo, where the shocking news for me was that Unsplash was removed.
